Golden Retrievers are one of the most family oriented dogs and are great with kids.

It is important to purchase your Golden from a responsible breeder. Please do your research and don't be afraid to ask questions. If you do not get the answers you are looking for, move on. This is a 10 to 15 year commitment. Take your time. It is common to wait up to 6 months or more for the right puppy but it is worth the wait. Most reputable breeders will be interviewing you.
